W.J. Butcher has always been based at Romford in Essex with the business concentrating on construction in and around the surroundingarea. The then managing director Ian Enifer incorporated the established business as Limited in June 1968.

Shortly after incorporation long time friend and colleague Charles Bailey joined the company as a co-director. The combined knowledge and drive of these two men and the standard they set was instrumental in forming the foundation of the company.

This along with their determination to put quality and service before profit left a legacy that is adhered too to the present day by the incumbent directors Kevin son of Charles Bailey and Jackie daughter of Ian Enifer who both have the same eye for detail and excellence to maintain the outstanding reputation that boasts almost 100% client retention.
